Perception is Reality

The past few months I have really been looking into this idea of perceptions. Everyone has a way that we perceive things and situations in life. That perception or way of looking at things, comes from a combination of how we are raised, our value and belief systems, situations that have happened in life, hurts and heartaches, joys. All these things start to develop a way of thinking and develop how we see the world.

The beauty is that everyone is different and everyone has a different story that makes up who they are and how they see the world, it is also makes things interesting because how do we then know what is truth and what is actually right or wrong. How we perceive life and all its happenings becomes our reality, and what is totally true and right and real for me maybe completely untrue and a non reality for another person, and its not to say that one is right or wrong, it is simply and complexly my reality.

What comes to mind when you think about God is the most important thing about you.                                                                                                               - A. W Tozer

But that's where God comes in, because he is truth and knows all things, and his word is truth, not just true for me but not for someone else. It is dead set, can't argue with it truth. How we see God and what we think of him and who is will play a massive part in how we think and perceive the world around us. So we need to start seeking the truth of God and getting a bit of revelation on who he is. We need to find that truth, to seek it out and have our minds renewed by the truth of who God is therefore renewing our perception, ultimately having a God perception and living in the fullness of his reality.
The God reality is so much greater than mine and I can grasp hold of it and take it as my reality if I am willing to spend the time to renew and refresh and seek out that which is whole hearted truth.

Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the will of God- what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2
